On Tuesday, we like to draw your attention to certain aspects of the Scottish Women’s Bible Convention. For the next few weeks, we’ll be telling you a bit more about the range of Seminars that are on offer.
Fiona Robb, from London, will be leading a seminar on ‘Developing our own walk with Jesus’.
Fiona was born and bred in Glasgow, and returns to Scotland regularly to visit family and friends. She serves at St Peter’s Barge, London’s Floating Church, in women’s and children’s ministry. Life in east London is reminiscent of Glasgow, with lots of friendly people to meet and get to know. The church is also very international, which she loves. But what she loves most is to bring God’s Word to people and see it working in their lives. It’s really exciting!
What is the seminar about?
Developing our own walk with Jesus. There are lots of ideas out there about how to develop our own walk with Jesus. 7 steps to this, or 10 steps to that. What does the Bible actually say? Lots! We’re going to zoom in on Colossians. It was a church with lots of ideas swirling around on this topic. But God spoke into that through Paul’s letter. We’ll find out what He said and how it connects to us and our walk with Jesus.
Besides your seminar, what one thing about the Scottish Women’s Bible Convention are you looking forward to and why?
It’s always great to be back in Scotland! And I’m excited to meet lots of women who want to hear God speak to them in the Scriptures and be encouraged to live that out in their lives. I suspect I will go away really encouraged to have met you all!
